Marissa’s Bunny
Marissa’s Bunny
It was quite a process, but no gnashing of gums or wailing- Marissa did have her first haircut on Friday. While the baby sleep gods don’t normally smile upon us, with her typically asleep readily during sleep deprivation EEGs or never sleeping when Mommy or Daddy are sick, the planets aligned accordingly, and Marissa was sleeping through the entire process.
Pretty painless. Fortunately, one of the family Matrons is a professional hairdresser. I have no idea what an infant cut costs at a shop!

I don’t like combing her hair- too much agony for daughter and Father. Much easier today!
Fairfax - NATO Ambassador
Marissa and Family,
I was very glad to meet up with Fairfax the Rabbit on a recent trip to an important North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) conference in Sophia, Bulgaria. There were representatives from the United States and 38 other nations. Since Fairfax represents such an important little girl, he was given extraordinary treatment (and scrutiny) during the entire trip.
It was educational and heartwarming experience for all those who met Fairfax - he had a lot to say. Even though he could not speak German or Bulgarian, he was still able to communicate his mission and bring a smile to the many faces he met. I hope his message continues to be heard.
Fairfax's Friend,
Bill
Thanks, Bill! We appreciate your shuttling of Fairfax to this important conference and discussion why you had him with what was, I’m sure, the slightly puzzled conference attendees.
November 16th, Fairfax caught a flight out of Dulles for a 4,267 mile overnight flight to Munich. Being an expert in all things, Fairfax got to inspect the cockpit pre-flight.

Owing to his international superstar reputation, Fairfax got a special bucket ride through security.

Munich was only the first stop. Later, Fairfax got to add another 680 air miles to his frequent flier card. Next stop- Sophia, Bulgaria. Topic- World Peace!

Fairfax with some of the other attendees.

Snow? It’s only the beginning of November!

And with the special North Pole delegate after the surprise snow!

Quick prayer for Marissa in a Bulgarian Orthodox Church during Sunday service.

Time for a snack- and some beer at the local McDonalds.

There’s always time to talk to some local dancers.

Next stop, London. Fairfax doesn’t return my calls anymore, but I’m sure he’ll check in with Marissa when he gets settled.
Newly pixied.
